The Bride and her Shoes
Emma fell in love with a beautiful pair of emerald green shoes; fun and elegant!
Bridal Party
Emma's Maid of Honour wore a beautiful long chiffon dress in teal. Michael and his groomsmen wore emerald green ties to mirror Emma's shoes.
Bouquet
Emma had a beautiful neat and subtle teardrop shape bouquet made up of ivory roses and jasmine.
Ribbons
Teal, emerald green, royal purple and fuchsia pink ribbons were used throughout the wedding, tied to ceremony aisle chairs, top table chairs, Emma’s bouquet, hydrangea posies around the balcony and laid across the wedding breakfast tables.
Flowers
The vibrant ribbon colours were brought into the flowers with a fuchsia pink, purple, emerald green and white mix of hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, stocks and ruscus.
Eat Drink & Be Married
Used on their invitations, this motto and design was then used throughout the table plan, the table names and the menus.
Special Places
Table names were special places to both Emma and Michael, they had little notes on each table explaining the memory. Little personalised wooden letters were chosen with maps of their respective home towns and their marital home town.
Chill Out
The upper deck of the Grandstand was transformed into a chill out area for adults and children, with lounge sofas, low tables, hurricane candles, Chinese lanterns lit at night and colourful medallions along the back wall. There was also a little play area for the children. A jazz duo also played during the drinks reception.
Sweets
Retro sweets were placed in little emerald green dishes in the lounge area, together with wonderful Liquorice Allsorts and Haribo sweetie trees.
Photo Messages
A Polaroid camera and some dove and heart shaped notelets were provided for guests to have fun with, then use little white heart wooden pegs to attach to the hanging ribbon.
Cake
A simple white tiered cake separated with a combination of the colourful flowers used throughout, topped with a bespoke Emma {heart} Michael sign and a brilliant model of Emma and Michael made by a friend as a surprise!
Flags
Michael was brought up in Ireland so he wanted to fly the Irish Provinces flag alongside the Union Flag.
Phyllis Court
The Grade II listed Grandstand Pavilion sits in the most idyllic location alongside the river Thames, overlooking the finish line of the Henley Royal Regatta finish line.
Fun
Everywhere you looked there was much laughter and lots of happy faces, Emma and Michael especially! As it should be.
Food
Delicious canapés and a 3 course meal were served, with Emma's favourite of fruit salad and ice cream! She found some of her own nibbles on the day too!

Lovely words from Emma and Michael

“My Mum has terminal cancer and Stacey-Marie stepped in at relatively the last moment (7/8 weeks) to help ensure we had the most wonderful wedding day. I wish we had used her from the start as Cherry Topped give you the day you dreamt of, without the stress, worry or self doubt if you have chosen the best suppliers.

Cherry Topped’s fantastic organisational skills are only matched by their brilliant stakeholder management (client/suppliers) and creativity. Stacey-Marie was obviously born to be a wedding planner, it is clear from her focus and dedication that she loves it and she ensures you have the day you both always wanted!

From the amazing proposal, then the style proposal/guides, timetables and briefings given to suppliers, I realised I had found gold. Cherry Topped found suppliers that met both what we wanted but were also great to deal with. It felt like everyone wanted to be involved, not just doing it for a job.

It was a very difficult time for us, with my Mum being very ill. Cherry Topped made planning the wedding “fun” again – we could enjoy deciding on finishing touches without feeling overwhelmed with the whole day.

Stacey-Marie gave us both (and my family, especially my Mum) the wedding day we have always dreamt of. Honestly, I cannot fully articulate how wonderful the day was and the wonderful memories we all have of it. She is a credit to the wedding planner industry.

I had never known anyone use a wedding planner, so I was apprehensive and wasn’t sure how they could add value. Well, I am now evangelical! Cherry Topped saved us money and worry by finding suppliers that met what we wanted to achieve. The wedding industry is so enormous, I felt overwhelmed by choice. Cherry Topped helped us articulate what we did and didn’t want and found us the best suppliers to meet our needs and budget. If that wasn’t enough, Stacey-Marie set up the venue, actually made some of the decorations, coordinated all our suppliers so we could just focus on enjoying our wedding day. I know other friends spent their wedding day worrying about suppliers being late/not doing what was agreed – we didn’t for a second as Cherry Topped had everything in hand!

Everyone at the wedding commented on the design, the natural flow of the day and how smoothly everything went. This is solely down to the hard work, professionalism and unflap-ability of Cherry Topped! The day was perfect, and knowing from events I have organised, this is because Cherry Topped were three steps ahead of everything/one to ensure it all went perfectly!

I cannot recommend Cherry Topped highly enough – from advice, support, budget management and style advice, this company is the answer to you having your dream wedding.”
