Luxurious Midnight Blue woven card with an Ivory damask motif set a luxurious tone.
Fun and quirky vintage buses collected guests from their hotels taking them to Iscoyd Park and returning them safely at the end of the wedding day.
Midnight and Windsor blue were chosen to complement Caroline's soft vintage lace Cymbeline dress and striking blue eyes.
A wonderful string quartet serenaded the guests on arrival, played beautiful classic pieces during the ceremony and then some more modern classics were played throughout the drinks reception.
Individual caricatures of Caroline and Peter were placed on the outside of the Ladies and Gents toilets providing amusement to them and to their guests. A caricaturist roamed the grounds sketching the guests.
Small organza pouches were filled with blue hydrangea, soft pink and ivory rose petals, and a personalised name and date tag attached for guests to take with them for the confetti shot.
Caroline's bouquet was filled with ivory vendela and soft pink roses, eucalyptus and sea holly, Pete has a complementary soft pink rose buttonhole with sea holly, a beautiful contrast to the Windsor blue tie, pocket square and dark grey suit.
Bridesmaids wore satin and chiffon Midnight blue dresses, two also wore Windsor blue sashes, their bouquets consisted of light blue hydrangea and ivory vendela roses.
Tables were dressed in alternating Midnight and Windsor blue napkins, there were 3 different types of floral table centre arrangements to encompass blue and pink hydrangea, spray roses, vendela and soft pink roses, eucalyptus and sea holly. Freeze dried blue hydrangea petals were gently scattered together with silver flower gems and votive holders were silver and diamante to match the silver vases.
Named after summits Caroline & Peter have climbed together or were about to climb together on their honeymoon, all drawn and made by Peter's Mum and displayed in silver ornate holders. The Table Plan, made by Caroline, with the matching blues and oval shapes running throughout.
Guest names tied to the backs of chairs with double satin ribbon to add some colour to the expanse of ivory in the marquee.
Guests were provided with little cards and envelopes for their messages, which they could seal with a personalised wax seal stamp (Caroline and Peter are both lawyers). These were then placed into a birdcage for Caroline and Peter to open on their first wedding anniversary.
Three flavoured tiered cake with a damask design to match the invitations, with a blue hydrangea to top it off and 'The Loving Heart' poem framed beside it.
Guests danced until they dropped to an amazing live Rock and Indie band.
The following morning a full local produce English breakfast was served for family and long distance guests, using some of the wedding day flowers as well as the caterers' vintage crockery made for a relaxed country house feel.
Lovely words from Caroline and Peter
“I can’t really find the words to express just how grateful we are for everything that you did! It really was a beautiful day – not just beautiful for us, but for everyone. I would not change a single thing and think we are so very lucky to have had you.
Cherry Topped’s service was exemplary – the whole day went without a single hitch and we did not spend even so much as a minute of our day worrying or even thinking about any of the logistical aspects. Stacey-Marie had that all under control from the very start – we can only admire (and envy!) her organisational skills. The suppliers were great, the caricaturist was a fantastic choice who fitted our type of wedding perfectly and the string quartet was a great find – our guests loved their modern classics any many people commented on how good they were and how much fun it was to have a string quartet playing Oasis!
We wish that we could sit down with every would-be bride and groom contemplating using Cherry Topped’s services and explain to them why they would be mad not to do so! Cherry Topped took away all the stress of organising our wedding day which meant that we could just enjoy it. As two busy (and not very artistic) professionals, Stacey-Marie’s creative input was also invaluable. We had so many comments on the beautiful colour scheme, the gorgeous flowers and the extra special little touches you thought of, all of which were Cherry Topped creations. Thank you Stacey-Marie for making our special day such a beautiful one and so much fun for our guests.”
Venue feedback
“Stacey-Marie left no stone unturned in her quest for perfection! Her organisation was fantastic and helped make the wedding the day it was. She saved me, the venue owner, lots of time and worry and did the same for the Bride and Groom. The result was a perfect wedding for the Bride and Groom with lots of little touches that I had not seen before. I would certainly enjoy working with Stacey-Marie again and would recommend her to any bride!”
