The Wedding Sanctuary took place on Sunday at Somerset House! It was a wonderful success for Brides, Bridesmaids, Grooms, Mothers of the Bride and even some press, bloggers and aspiring wedding planners!
I wanted to just share with you some of the beautiful images taken by the wonderfully talented Julia Boggio to show you the different ‘zones’ that were created for guests to browse, chat, have one-to-one consultations and enjoy a more peaceful, intimate and relaxing style of bridal show.
Where guests were welcomed, handed a cooling drink and a goodie bag filled with samples, treats, planning tips and magazines.

Wedding planners of the UKAWP designed 5 different wedding breakfast tables to show guests the vast array of styles that can be incorporated into their wedding day and how to make the most of linen, stationery, flowers, ribbons, favours, chairs, glassware, crockery and cutlery! There was also a beautiful dessert and cake table displaying some stunning cake designs and treats as well as a wishing tree which stood proud on the balcony of Somerset House. Suppliers and wedding planners were available to talk through service and product options as well as style and design ideas throughout the morning and afternoon sessions.

A romantic vintage feel boudoir was set up for guests to talk to hair and makeup specialists (even have a mini hair do!), talk to a wedding dress designer and try on some gorgeous vintage style wedding shoes!

A wide range of exceptional wedding suppliers were dotted around, covering stationery, cakes, personal styling, information and help for grooms, lighting, entertainment, furniture and decor hire, photography and videography. Wedding planners were also on hand to ask any specific planning questions.

The ceremony room was set up for a series of short talks presented by UKAWP member wedding planners, covering selecting and working with suppliers, managing your wedding budgeting and how to schedule your wedding day.

Brides enjoyed the peaceful experience of The Wedding Sanctuary, and the ability to discuss their thoughts and ideas in a relaxed environment, so hopefully this will be the first of many!

This looks like such a fab event, with great exhibitors. Such a shame I couldn’t make it. Definitely next time! x
