And so it begins…
Hello and welcome to Cherry Topped’s blog!
As an introductory blog entry, I thought I would give you a bit of an insight into Cherry Topped…
I had never really dreamt of my perfect wedding day, probably so I wouldn’t be let down if I never got asked to be someone’s wife! So when I was proposed to by Mr C (with a Haribo ring) I suddenly allowed myself to start imagining what our wedding might be like. The floodgates opened, ideas, thoughts and imagination flowed freely! I had been away from the creative world for a little while (unless a bit of Lindy Hop dancing and painting counts?) and so it felt good to be dipping into creativity again.
I am some what of a perfectionist, so all of the organisation and careful attention to detail came naturally to me. The penny started to drop as various wedding suppliers commented on whether I worked in the event planning industry – not yet! Though my background in purchasing stood me in good stead for the researching, liaising with suppliers and project planning.
After becoming Mrs C, I had the opportunity to plan Clare and Adrian’s wedding. I loved absolutely every minute of it! The whole experience, even thriving on the wedding day itself, further cemented the idea of setting up Cherry Topped. In fact it is with great thanks to Clare that I have my business name. She commented on how I consider every last detail and suggested the name, reflecting the phrase “with a cherry on top”!
And so it began…I went into full business planning mode, with developing a logo, attending training, carrying out market research, throwing myself into creative hobbies – all sorts! Cherry Topped bespoke weddings was born in order to plan and coordinate many more memorable and beautiful weddings, bespoke to our clients!
I will use this blog as an outlet for real weddings, any cute finds and design ideas, unique venues and suppliers. So if you would like to feature with any of these, then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
